We have the best of any country moraly speaking but we lack the sociability that New Hope has. They are the visitingest people I ever read of. I don’t know how they pick so much cotton and do all that visiting, too. * * * Our people have to work night and day now; they pick cotton in the day time and at night they scratch chiggers. * * * Wanted: Ten cotton pickers to pick cotton.
