I just love flowers. My aunt had a flower shop in San Antonio and I went in and she showed me how to do some things in the summers like make puffs. As a little girl I would go pick wild flowers and fix them and take them to my mom thats how I got interested.
3. What do you like about working with flowers?
They brighten peoples day and it blesses people.

So many that are beautiful!

Blue Bonnet
Dogwoods
Texas is known as the yellow rose of Texas
The tulip trees when they bloom - don’t last a few days
Not a specific field. Mainly off highways and roadways theyre all over in the country
You see them going out in the pastures

2. How did you start?
Walked in. I had never done flowers before. I bought some flowers for my granddaughter's graduation and they were looking for someone and they liked what I picked out. I put roses and a ittle bow on a coffee mug for my granddaughter's graduation. She graduated nursing school.

Colors/flowers and making people happy

I didn’t care about flowers, I was never a flower person but since working here I really love it, it changed me. I always thought who cares about flowers, its a waste of money but they’re not. They bring a lot to people, like when people come in for funerals. We try to make it better for them.

Hydrangea

Tulips/daffodils — flowers that pop up in the spring
Indian paintbrush — fields alongside the highway
